Peter Lai Hing-ling, the Honorary Professor of Department of Politics and Public Administration of University of Hong Kong commented on the Chief Executive Election today. He urged the public that more freedom should be vested to public as he viewed the student in the University of Hong Kong as enthusiastic.

Recently, there is a tussle regarding the advertisements posted by HKU students on different newspapers to question about whether the Chief Executive Election involved any affiliation with triad society. Concerning this incident, he believes that “more freedom should be vested to students as their ideas are different from other people who are working in society.” ((very good))

He said he respected the mass media. He viewed mass media as “the court of opinion”. It is undeniable to him that it acts as a communication channel between the government and general public. The criticizing procedure acts as an opinion molding tool.

((brief but effective...your quote in the 2nd paragraph nailed the point of your article...grammar and syntax improved as well))
