"Regression of Hong Kong’s comparative advantage" warns LEUNG Chun-ying

The economy of Hong Kong has been increased in these three years, many people benefited greatly by stock market, but The Hon. LEUNG Chun-ying, GBS, JP ,Member cum Convenor of the Executive Council, Hong Kong , express an opposing view, he warns the develop of superiority of Hong Kong has gone, If Hong Kong people still follow the power of market, the only way that Hong Kong will be eliminated through competition around the world.

LEUNG Chun-ying was the guest speaker of an assembly in Hong Kong Shue Yan University yesterday, he mention the technology and capital of Hong Kong lagged behind a lot to mainland China, also Employment laws and environmental protection policy were addressed by China Government, it is threat to Hong Kong investor, it lead to regression of Hong Kong’s comparative advantage.

LEUNG point that the role of HK government has been changing, Government should have determination to carry out their decision and respond to conditions quickly. Hong Kong should focus both cooperate with mainland and international, but HK should keep own distinctive character or else there is no different between the other 660 province of China.
