The convener of Silent Majority for Hong Kong said the

group against the "Occupy Central" campaign aims to maintain the

peace in Hong Kong, and believed Hong Kong does not need to sacrifice the peace

for democracy.

Robert Chow Yung believed the "Occupy Central" campaign will not only cause harm to

Central, but the entire city. "Once the campaign start, the traffic congestion

will be unpredictable, citizen living will also harmed," Chow said today at

Shue Yan University.

Chow emphasized seeking for the democracy do not equal to causing unrest.

He said the seek Silence Majority for Hong Kong is now seeking for the win-win

situation between the democracy and peace in Hong Kong, by rallying at least

100,000 citizens to voice their objection to the "Occupy" campaign. He

believed there is no need to cause unrest.

Talking about the Chief Executive general election in 2017, Chow wishes to

see people from different political background enter the gate. However, he

said ideal and reality are always different, as the People’s Republic of China

has the final veto in selecting the Chief Executive in Hong Kong.
