Qian Gang, (the project director of University of Hong Kong Journalism and Communication Research Center of China Media and the writer of the famous book – Tangshan Earthquake-too long, choose most important), attended a talk by Shue Yan University today. He appealed (x) people should consider the political environment in China, the Media in China is making some remarkable progress (run on sentence).

In the past, people received news from journalists but now the way of receiving news is (totally-informal) opposite. As a citizen, (we-avoid using we in formal writing, unless clearly define, or a blogging platform) change from a receiver to a reporter. Qian said the reporting way of China Media is changing too. It is (on a revolution?-check appropriate use of revolution). Qian took Weibo as an example, he said “Weibo is a gift from God.”

“Thanks to technology, everyone in China can be a journalist now. For example, in 723 High-Speed Train Crash, (before reporting by journalist?). There were some photos uploaded by Weibo users. It shows(vt) people what happened. No matter how efficiency(n form, should be adjective) a journalist is, the speed of uploading a photo to Weibo is much faster.”

Qian admitted there are still many (massages-spelling) on Weibo (x) have been deleted in order to keep “harmony”. However, he thinks it is the progress for China(n-should be adj) Media to (grow up-inap use, used for people) and learn from other countries.

Weibo is a microblogging websites launched by Chinese company Tencent in April last year. There were nearly 100 million users in 2011.

Your news angle is clear, however your grammatical mistakes are making it hard for the reader to follow. Proof read more carefully, one way is to read out loud to catch awkward sentences, or missing words.
