“Honesty is the best policy for crisis,” said Spin doctor.

Spin Doctor is a doctor for crisis management, it is a special term on political in recent years. Public Affairs Manager of Hong Kong Jockey Club, Frankie Yip pointed out that, to tackle crises, we must tell the truth, and honesty is the best policy to tackle the crisis.

Yip said that, to overcome the crisis, “spin doctor” must totally understand the situation, so as to find out the solution. Then, give the crisis a “value”, to show that the crisis is worth to be occurred. At last, the most difficult process is to learn a lesson in the crisis.

“There is a miserable fate at all the times and everywhere while being a spin doctor,” Yip said. As spin doctor cannot gain profit and stage above others, most of the people do not like them.

Spin doctor is always said to be political liar, but spin doctor is an important person to communicate to the public and media, to maintain a good relationship.
