Ricky Wong, chairman of CTI, is going to invest over 2 billion dollars on building his own TV Empire. He firmly believed that his team should go to the forefront and uphold his own principle: “Never walked after others.”

Pushy strategy employed

“We are employing the federal system to manage our company. Pushy culture is rooted in our company, getting into this company is going to be a hard job,” said Wong. He emphasized that he needed his team to go to the frontline of this industry because with walking to forefront, they will see the trend. He also confidently said, “Our team is of excellent quality and they are all experienced in this field.”

Huge Investment on CTI

Investing over 2 billion, Wong said it is time for a change for TV industry. TV industry in HK is facing a recession in his view. He said, “I am truthful to all Hong Kong audience, I recently have nine strong production teams who could overcome the difficulties and produce the best product.”

Loss First Profits next

He believed that this business will have loss and gain profits in the end. “This is going to be a profitable business but it is normal we invest first with the best resources.” In the coming six years, Wong promised to set up 30 channels and he hopes he could succeed. After all, echoed to what he said in the beginning of the talk, “one should improve himself every moment.”
