Reported by Leung Sze Wai

Taiwan's nine-in-one election was held in November. 40 year 3 and 4 students from Hong Kong Shue Yan University came to Taiwan to interview the election. Hong Kong and Taiwan election atmosphere is very different. “They will tie the flag clip and there is a man who draws a national flag on the stomach", "like an electronic music festival." said the reporter of Media Lab. In Taiwan, there are star singing performances and flagships in the election campaign. Hong Kong definitely cannot see the sceen.

Dr. WONG Chung Ming,Associate Professor of Department of Journalism and Communication, students represent Our voice, Shou and media lab are the speakers at Hong Kong Shue Yan University said this was an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

Wong criticized Taiwan’s TV news for his partiality and over-promotion of the DPP. "I don’t know why Chen Wenzhi of the Green Camp (DPP) is going to stand for election.’’ Taiwan News has always reported on Taipei’s elections, but all of them are focus on talking about Chen Wenzhi. He think that the Taiwan media was not as neutral as the Hong Kong media. He said that the Taiwan media had made the news related to the DPP but the news about others news was lightly taken. He felt that this was very problematic.

Wong supported the KMT’s Ding Shou Zhong’s appeal and agreed that it was unfair to vote at the side of the bill. However, he said that Ding Shouzhong’s appeal was not very good, because Ding Shou Zhong’s difference with Ke Wen Zhe ’s 3,254 votes was a slight gap, so he was not very hopeful, but he thought Ding Shouzhong’s appeal is the right thing to do.

At last, representitive student said as a student reporter is easy to feel worried. But he encourage students don't be afraid of any wild. "Reporters should be brave!" said the media lab student. --165070 2018年11月27日 (二) 18:31 (CST)
