(Your lead contained two sentences without a conjunction which was a very careless mistake. You should tell your readers what is the nature of the CNEX foundation and what has it got to do with all the talks of pitching TV programs. You mentioned that "Siu-Pong Wong shared his experience in pitching documentary story to CNEX" so you should at least explain to your readers a little bit about the pitching process. Ada Li has spent quite some time explaining that in her speech.)

Documentary film: same language, different styles

6th November, 2012

Ada Li, Manager of CNEX Foundation, said that there is lacking support for documentary directors in Hong Kong, documentary director Siu-Pong Wong said that film itself can override the language barrier to present ideas.

Ada Li introduced the CNEX Foundation along with two directors in general assembly of Hong Kong Shue Yan University; Li said that they are focused on having record of Chinese community and to have 100 Chinese-related documentaries in the coming ten years. Li mentioned that there is only RTHK to have documentary scheme in the territory, comparing up to 70% outsourced contents in foreign television stations.

Siu-Pong Wong shared his experience in pitching documentary story to CNEX. He said that documentary style among different parts of Greater China region can be very different, like the tempo of documentary in Hong Kong is much faster than in China or Taiwan. Wong also said that it may be difficult for Cantonese-speaking Hong Kong people to pitch in PRC or Taiwan, however presenting a short video clip in the pitching process can actually help the process. The clip can act as the bridge to different areas.
