2017 chief executive need to respect and follow the Constitutional rule

The core standard for candidates to participate 2017 chief executive is “love China and love Hong Kong, Hao Tei Chuan, director-general of department of publicity, cultural and sports affairs liaison office of the Central Peoples’ Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. said.


Hao pointed out that the principal to be the leader of the country or chief executive in Hong Kong is to love the country and to respect and abide by the basic law and the constitution of the Central peoples. This is the basic principal to all democratic countries. However, Hao also emphasized that candidate need to be nominated by Nominations Commission, which is the unique characteristic of Hong Kong universal suffrage election system. ‘The members and the system of Nominations Commission is a well representable of Hong Kong’s residence and publics.’ he added.


Hao was asked to comment CY Leung, the chief executive of S.A.R. also elected by the nominations commission, with low supported rate. He did not directly comment the work of CY Leung and said the Central China has already showed support and approve for the work of CY Leung.


Hao described the action from Occupy Central is not clever and definitely affect people and themselves in negative way. He said, the way to voice out their opinion is ‘hard to be survive’, he suggest them to express their message in using a appropriate track.


Hao explained, the relationship between the Constitutional and the Basic Law is fundamental law and parent law. Parent law is ever not possible to nominate fundamental law. Therefore, the meaning or the rules from the Constitution can totally apply to Hong Kong.
