30-year-road Towards Success
International firm boss Leung Kwok-tung shared the way how he achieved his final goal in a talk today, pointing out that there were many needs for a successful businessman to keep in his life.
In an age of 50s, Leung is now in a seat of a Managing Director of an international company. With a long road passed for the last 30 years, he concluded there are four principles for him to interact with other businessmen: Honesty, fairness, respect and forgiven.
He also explained how he regarded life. He was struggling for his three final goals, career, family and finance everyday. 15 years after his graduation, he fulfilled his aim in career as he managed to have his own company. He got another achievement in family when his son became a managing director in a big company. Now he is going to reach his last dream that to be retired before 60.
Leung has two ideas always in his mind resulting him a success life, “I am always a positive guy and I keep my mind open, that is never say no to any ideas.” He did admit opportunities were very important for his excellent business life, but what he emphasized was to work hard, persevere and succeed. “These three things are mottos pushing me for my target,” he said.
To end his words, Leung then listed out the dos and don’ts for the students who will soon take up their careers, “your boss is always your benefactor. He’s the only one paying you money but teaching you.” He encouraged journalism students should use the advantages of approaching different kinds of people to learn more. Also, he suggested reading is a good way for students to obtain new knowledge.
