Alan Lo, President of AM 730, took part in a sharing session of Shue Yan University, with the topic “The Warring States Period of Free Press”. He emphasized the marketing positioning of AM 730 is mainly for intellectuals and did not worry about the “free press war”.

In today's fierce struggle in free newspaper market, Lo believed that unique positioning and personality-oriented helped to survive. AM730 mainly reported knowledge content in its production line so it is able to stand in the market for six years.

Compared to other free newspaper, AM730 more emphasis on columns and featuring reporting, such as “columns are written by celebrities regularly and the latest interview was with Leung Chun-ying,” Lo said.

Lo talked about the earlier advertising video of AM730, it recalled "Hong Kong is already to get “taste” as a slogan. It emphasized that "there is the taste", where "taste" referred to readers’ understanding of AM730.

He said the newspaper could not report too much yellow journalism like bloody and sexual content.

“Take Philippines’ Hong Kong hostages incident as an example. Other newspapers posted a larger photo, but my colleagues and I all agreed that not to publish those bloody pictures, because many of them involved innocent people,” Lo said.
