( A piece of good work but with one big omission. Since you emphasised in your lead that preserving heritage include buildings as well as trees and environment, but you have mentioned none of it in your story. Ironically, Money was rather proud when she talked of the painstaking effort she and her team took to protect a rare breed of fruit bats. The ASHK has gone at length to alter the design of the bridge to zig-zag around the trees which have become the habitat of the bats. Anecdotes like these would help the readers to appreciate the aspect of heritage preservation and at the same time, make your story more interesting. )

A New mind of heritage

By Cherry Au Hiu Ki March 5,2013

There is always a common misunderstanding within Hong Kong people that heritage only include old buildings. In fact, Alice S. Wong, Executive Director gave a mind refreshing speech at Hong Kong Shue University. She told that heritage include buildings and those plants.

Wong said the office of Asia society which located at 9 Justice Drive Admiralty is the best example of heritage perservation. Wong said their office were British Magazine A since conlonial era. When they decided which architecture entries to use, they consider the design which could connect the old with new and perserved the environment nearby. She said the construction budget and timecost were increased but it was worth to spend.

Their office is now already successfully renewed. It is a two-storeys building with two bridges linking two block of old magzine A. Wong mentioned that the humidity- controlled magazine is that best place for them as a gallery. Wong, "The gallery is perfectly designed and now showing 20 Hong Kong talent designers workpieces." Wong emphasised heritage are owned by public not any private sections. Wong wished more Hong Kong people visit their office for their office designs or programme in the furture.
