Geordie Toh, a legal advisor of network company, thinks the Copyright Amendment Bill 2011 should not be set up too straight as it may kill creativity.

Geordie said today in Hong Kong Shue Yan University that, the Copyright Amendment may causes those who creating secondary creation guilty, yet he thinks that some secondary creation is quite funny and thinks that if all these creation are mean to be guilty is quite a pity. “If the amendment is set to be too tight, this will have a very unhealthy effect.” Said Geordie. [Is it set to tight?]

Yet he also thinks that ignoring these secondary creation may bring some harms or lowering the income of the primary creation. Thus he thinks that the Copyright law should include secondary creation under its jurisdiction.

But when he was asked about the stand of support this law or not, he didn’t answer directly and said it is not suitable for him to comment directly.
