( Yours was a rather comprehensible report except with one big hole in your story. You forgot to tell your readers the relationship of Albert Cheng with the two radio stations, DBC and D100. The way you put it looks like Cheng is still running both stations. You have to explain clearly that Cheng was ousted from the management team after a two-month internal dispute at DBC. Also, online radio and digital radio broadcasting are not exactly the same. You need a government license to operate a digital radio, like DBC, while practically anybody could start an online radio. DBC can operate at the same time an online version of its digital broadcast content but an online radio cannot operate a digital radio without a license.)

Founder of Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited (DBC) Albert Cheng said in HKSYU today that he invested in Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) in order to give another choice to Hong Kong people.

Cheng said that Vancouver itself has around 100 broadcasting radio station, but there are only 7 in Hong Kong. “Hong Kong people haveno choice. The most important thing is to give them more choices. That’s why I invested in DAB,” he said.

He said that radio will be developed online gradually. “Putting radio online is the trend. Every company is considering this. Like Apple is considering to develop a radio online.”

Cheng also said that the D100 radio, which is established by Peter Lam, Albert Cheng etc after the off-air of DBC, is also being online. “D100 radio brought elders who did not usually use computer to use it for listening D100 radio,” he said “Also, people can make a phone call to the hotline of D100 to listen D100 radio.”
