Dispute-plagued Digital Broadcasting Corporation (DBC) resumed service yesterday with the original cast of staff. The new channel is called ‘D100’. Co-founder Albert Cheng said there will be eight to nine programmes per week.

Cheng denied the suspension of DBC is caused by management problem. ‘If there is any management problem, no one will be willing to take over my company.’ He added that the D100 focus on internet connection with their audiences.

Acting in concert with smart phone apps and Facebook, he hopes to broaden the number of audiences and bring those who are not familiar with online broadcasting to the new field.

Although D100 runs online, Cheng claimed that D100 is not an online radio channel. ‘Everyone can own an online radio channel. Yet, ours is run in traditional radio format and only used the internet to broadcast. It is totally different from the general online channels.
