(We usually say to "confirm" a rumor but seldom to "agree" on a rumor. You said Wong "has anticipated for a more vivid development in the Council", so are you saying he is wishing for a development or is he going to initiate a more vivid development? There is a big difference between anticipating and doing something. I don't know which one you mean。)

Anthony Wong: "Official members in the HKADC are bureaucratic and not intelligent."

Anthony Wong Chau Sang , Representative-elect of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council(HKADC), has anticipated for a more vivid development in the Council. He thought that HKADC should be encouraging for arts development. He agreed on some rumors he had heard before that official members in the Council are bureaucratic, lacking intelligence and not paying much effort on certain issues.

“I am not a person familiar with administrative jobs.” He comment on which role he will play in the Council, “and therefore, I will try to make it funnier.”

Being asked about his opinion on the West Kowloon Cultural District, he thought the time consumed for development is too long, which seems suspicious to him.

“The time taken for developing the region is too long. I suspected the officials want to lengthen the time it takes so as to be employed for more years. I thought there is no one monitoring the process, but we are spending Hong Kong people’s money.” He thought. He also criticized on current conflicts between mainland and Hong Kong people. He thought that some officials who are responsible in arts development do not know much about mainland China.

“The censorship in mainland isn’t that strict. I have seen the central television network broadcasting shows criticizing Cultural Revolution. Some of the dramas are merely censored- some officials are too old to monitor that.” He mentioned.
