Hong Kong government’s explanation on Wang Chau issue cannot clarify the doubts.” Right and wrong cannot be reversed,” Roy Kwong Chun-yu, member-elect of the fifth term Legislative Council.

Speaking at the general assembly in Shue Yan University, he said “it is a must to let the issue expose in the sun.”

“I am in a crocodile pool and skating on a thin ice in the Wang Chau housing project because Leung Chun-ying puts me wrong,” He said.

Although he is facing the challenge, he is still willing to face it and have a debate with Leung Chun-Ying and try to apply the Powers and Privileges Ordinance to investigate the Wang Chau controversy when he enters the council.

Comment:

Newly-elected lawmaker Roy Kwong Chun-yu vowed that he would use the legislature's special power to investigate the Wan Chau housing scandal.

Speaking at Shue Yan University's assembly, the romance novelist-turned-legislator pledged that he would invoke the Power and Privilege Ordinance to dig out the dirt leading to the government's decision on significantly scaling back the construction of public rental housing units in Wan Chau, Yuen Long.

Kwong, a member of the Democratic Party, received more than 491,000 votes in the Legislative Council election, earning the King of Votes nickname.
