(You should mention to your readers that the Modern Media Group has entered into a business partnership with Bloomberg to launch the traditional Chinese version of the Bloomberg Businbessweek. You should present some background information about the Bloomberg group which is owned by Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City. The international news group runs a news agency, a TV channel and several other publications including the original English version of the Bloomberg Businessweek. Without telling your readers that, people might be misled to think that Shao owns the magazine.)

By SIU, Hnag Nam, 2012-02-26- A Hong Kong Edition of Bloomberg Businbessweek, writing in Traditional Chinese, is going to be launched. Thomas Shao, publisher of Bloomberg Businessweek Hong Kong, said the magazine would not enter a competition with existing weekly magazines in Hong Kong.

Shao is the Chairman of the Modern Media Group, a Chinese-funded company listed in the main board which will be publishing the Bloomberg Businessweek Hong Kong. He introduced the Bloomberg Businessweek Hong Kong and supporting apps, as well as his company.

Shao said he did not care about the sales volume of the Bloomberg Business week Hong Kong. He said the main stream magazine circulated in Hong Kong were those so-called ‘gossip magazines’. He was asked about how to compete with those magazines. He said that he was not planning to eat into the readership of the ‘gossip magazines’ and he would not try to cater the taste of those readers by discussing changes in Hong Kong.

‘If you don’t like it (Bloomberg Businessweek), you can return to your native place and go buy milk powder.’ He said the magazine was targeted on more high-class and well-educated readers.

‘We have no expectation on number of readers.’ Said Shao. He said the magazine was positioned to lead the economic market, and change the perspective of the society. However, he did said the Hong Kong Edition would include local content, which he did not exactly tell what.
