The chairman of Modern Media Group, Thomas Shao, at Shue Yan University said Bloomberg Businessweek's traditional Chinese version will be launched in Hong Kong in June.

He said the Chinese version of Bloomberg Businessweek was not just translating simplified Chinese to traditional Chinese.


“The half of the content is according to American Bloomberg Businessweek, 25% is about mainland China and Taiwan, while 25% is about Hong Kong local news.” Shao said.


He stated that although the sale of entertainment magazines was high, he did not care about the sale. He was not afraid competition as the biggest concern of Bloomberg Businessweek is lead not complete.


He added that he wanted to change and shape readers’ beliefs. “We want to provide the idea and a higher international vision to the readers.” Shao said.


He pointed out that Businessweek would not have any gimmick as he concerned about the quality more than the quantity of the magazine.
