(You have mentioned the date when the Bloomberg LP and the Modern Media Group signed on to enter into a partnership to publish the traditional Chinese version of the Bloomberg Businessweek in Hong Kong but you have failed to tell the readers the date of its launching. A careless neglect. You should also explain to your readers why Shao surmised that the current publishing culture in HK have "polluted" the minds of the journalists, especially the veteran newsmen.)

Bloomberg Businessweek Recruitment: Junior Preferred

Feb 26 - Bloomberg Businessweek has officially authorized Modern Media Group to publish the business magazine in Hong Kong last December. Thomas Shao, chairman of Modern Media Group, said they want to recruit “unpolluted reporters” like fresh graduated university students.

As the magazine was new in Hong Kong, Shao said they needed to employ plenty of reporters and not only senior but also junior. Shao explained that junior reporters were much preferred because they have not engaged in the media industry and they could be “unpolluted”.

“Who work for Bloomberg Businessweek should contain 4s, which are Style, Smart, Study and Speed,” said Shao. Shao thought the magazine was much different from each other and all the employees should not follow what others did but lead others. He thought, therefore, a fresh graduated university student could easily reach the criteria.

Someone asked Shao that if he paid a higher salary to attract reporters to work for the magazine. He answered that 99% of the Bloomberg staff did not work for money, but dream.
