CONTENT IS KING

The seven channels of Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited (DBC) has put into service yesterday. Loh Chan, C.E.O. of Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited (DBC), delivered a speech at the Shue Yan University today. He said that content is king. Rich and diversified content will be their selling point.


DBC has invested around 65 millions to their new channels. As it was such a huge expense, Chan stated that DBC would work best on their content. More in-depth analysis, multi-angle news and diversified topics are some aspects they will strive for.


In addition, Chan told that making fair and neutral news is the objective of their news channel. “We don’t run like Ta Kung Pao and Wenweipo; Apple Daily either,” he said. They reported the news neutrally and left room for audience analysis. Some people may have doubt in the fairness of DBC news channel since the political background of their largest shareholders Bill Wong. But Chan claimed that he did not join the board of directors in order to avoid suspicions.


“As we are still arranging our staff team, so that we will put our focus mainly in our news channel. Let us work best for the news report first,” he added.
