On the 25th of October, there is a seminar held in the Hong Kong Shue Yan University. The Journalism & Communication Department from Shue Yan and Macau University host this seminar. Most of the guest speaker issue a lot of challenge that the media will face in the future. After the discussion, many of the guest speaker agreed that the challenge is unavoidable but this also create the chance to integrate the old and new media. ((revise this so it's less wordy and more concise))

Chan Cho Biu, The Associate Publisher & Chief Editor of Hong Kong Economic Times, thought free press changed the newspaper climate a l lot. “After the explosion of free press in Hong Kong, we thought some people that never read newspaper before will also take a free press when he take MTR or bus before work. This may help us get back the audience that never read newspaper and our advertisers may willing to spend more in free press because of the increasing number of audience in free press. I can predict that the total number of newspaper audience will increase.” In addition, Chan point out that Hong Kong is a special place that employee in press are much more easier to build up their reputation. ((awkward)) Lo Wing Hung, the Chief Executice of Singtao News Coporation, also agreed some points of view from Chan. He added that he believes there is no new or old media, but only successful or unsuccessful media. When he talked about the difference between Chinese University and Shue Yan University’s students, he believed Shue Yan students can do better than CU student’s in the society. He also agreed that the future development of traditional media like television, radio or newspaper are also change to multi-media. ((why can Shue Yan students do better?)) --095151 2011年10月25日 (二) 23:19 (UTC)
