Chih Wing Ching on the prospects of free newspaper in Hong Kong

Shin Wing Ching, The Chairperson of AM730 and Danny Fung, the director of AM730 has been invited to attend the general assembly of Shue Yan University yesterday.They shared their views of the prospects of free newspaper in Hong Kong.They all claimed that prospects of free newspaper in Hong Kong is good as free newspaper is replacing the newspaper.

As the science and technology develope rapidly, people can get the information easily. Shin Wing Ching thinks that people are no longer willing to spend money to buy newspaper and there are some advantageous positions of free newspaper. He pointed out that the cost-benefit of free newspaper is more higher as the cost is lower. Moreover, free newspaper is easy to bring out so that it can reach people more easily. He also pointed out that the adverisement gains is increased from 3 millions to 10 millions in a short term.

Danny Fung thinks that today's newspaper should not only report the facts but also have to analyze the problem to the readers. Nowadays, people can gain information in many different channels, so that the role of free newspaper should change to
