Recently, the strained Sino-US relationship is the most concerned issue in the world. Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, the China-US trade war became the talk of the town, or ever the world.

Dr. Simon Shen, founder of Glocal Learning Offices (GLOs), believed that people in the world could be divided into two groups, one is the winners and the other one is the losers.

"Many supporters of Donald Trump are the winners, including himself," Shen said. Nowadays, wealth and power became the basic factors of being a winner. Meanwhile, the public would regard being wealthy is equals to being winners. Shen believed that Donald Trump's business and wealth helped him to establish a successor and winner image.

Shen thought Donald Trump's style of running the government is very different from other presidents. It could even be regarded as unique by comparing to other politicians. Donald Trump would express his opinions and publish the measures and policies of his government on Twitter. It seems like the transparency of his government is higher than the previous government. People would see this as a democratic action.

"People could receive the messages and news they want of the US government on social media and do not need to check the official documents of the government by themselves," Shen said.

Besides, Shen mentioned the most outstanding governing philosophy of Trump' government is 'America First'. Donald Trump kept emphasising the interest of Americans should be the first priority. This stand helped Trump won the United States presidential election in 2016.

Shen believed that the China-US trade war was related to the relationship of the leaders of China and the US. “Before Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, China and the US had a consensus,” Shen said. Their different ruling styles and political philosophies helped to boost the China-US trade war.
