Chinese government does not intervene Hong Kong Affairs

Kelly Choi --095077 2011年11月1日 (二) 23:34 (UTC)

17 April, 2012

“We cannot say that the central government liaison (has been already intervened?) Hong Kong affairs as C.Y.Leung was chosen by elected representatives,” said Liu Wei Zhong, the Chief Editor of Bauhinia Magazine in a talk held by the Hong Kong Shue Yan University today.

It is arguabl(y-no verb, so use adj form) that the central government liaison office has (been-omit) intervened (prep) Hong Kong local affairs recently as C.Y.Leung has won the Chief Executive Election dramatically.

The central government liaison office in Hong Kong is responsible for liaisons with Chinese companies in Hong Kong, and facilitating economic, cultural, educational, technology and sport exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland China. However, it should not intervene (prep) any Hong Kong affairs.

“The role and position of Liaison Office are fixed. Besides, we should comment on this issue by many-sided analysis but not only see one side(d) of (art or plural-comment),” said Liu. (can say one sided comments, or one side of comments)

Liu believed that “One Country, Two Systems” is successfully implemented in Hong Kong. As a pro-Beijing magazine, Liu said that the Bauhinia Magazine is not a vehicle for propaganda but a tool for Hong Kong people (x) understand more about Chinese policy and culture.

The Bauhinia Magazine (is found) in 1990 which talks about political issue, public affairs and policies implemented in China and Hong Kong.

Good article, simply need to proofread.
