(You lead contained a long description of the venue and the sponsor of the talk which was totally unnecessary. Also, Chow Yung was never sure that the second wave of the movement would not continue. He said he hoped it would not continue. Your story was one-sided by presenting only the view of Chow Yung. You should at least provide some background information about what the Occupy Central is all about and how its organisers claim the movement would be peacefully carried out.)

By Chong Kin Yu

Chow,Yung, the originator of Silent Majority , said that Occupy Central would not continue after the first wave of it during the general assembly organized by the department of Journalism and Communication of Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

To fight for the democracy peacefully, Chow said that Silent Majority might be a workable organization that helping Hong Kong to speak out its voice. He mentioned that if Occupy Central were taken place in the future, he could imagine that there was no second wave of it. The reason was that people would feel untouched and unconcerned of the arrested people during the first wave of Occupy Central. People might think that Occupy Central was not workable, so second wave of Occupy Central would not occur. Chow claimed that Hong Kong would become paralyzed if second wave of Occupy Central occurred because the firemen and policemen could not go to the destination on time. Public security would become a serious problem of Hong Kong.

Chow stated that he wished Hong Kong could be a stable city. As a responsible Hong Kong person, all he could do is to exercise his right of speech to speak out the voice for Hong Kong. People could not affect others right of speech, as he could not stop Tai Yiu Ting’s speech of Occupy Central. He said that everyone had the right to talk about the things they believed.
