A founding member of Silent Majority said the only aim of organizing Silent Majority to oppose the Occupy Central movement is to keep Hong Kong peaceful.

Chow Yung said peace does not mean giving up universal suffrage or democracy. "We wanted a democracy without turmoil." He said.

Chow said, turmoil is not equal to bleeding, it also includes disordering. He criticized the action of "Occupy Central" that it may destroy Hong Kong's peace. He pointed out that, even though the first group of people can hold the event the peacefully, if more or more citizens join the event after some celebrities like Eu Yuet-mee or Chan Yat Kwan become arrested, Hong Kong may become paralyzed.

"For example, a serious traffic jam would happen, and so ambulances and fire trucks may not get to the destinations on time." He said, "Also, many policemen would be arranged to deal with the action which may affect the security of other places." Chow said, he does not against the first wave of "Occupy Central", but he is worried about the impact brought by the second or third wave of the action.
