HONG KONG, MAR. 13- The Community Chest, a non-profit making organization operated by the government, has helped the needy in Hong Kong for more than 40 years; however, it (has?) facing its own challenges as well.

Louie Tong Hang-shing, the Community Relations Manger of Community Chest, was invited to the general assembly of Journalism and Communication Department at Hong Kong Shue Yan University this afternoon. She said Community Chest is facing two major challenges- aging population and the increasing youth problems.

In 2011, (article) population of people over 65 year-old was 12.2%. However, the proportion of population aged 65 and over is projected to increase to 26.8% in 2033. “Serving the patients with dementia is the most demanding,” said Tong.

Meanwhile, there is a growing number of students (who) fall into the trap of compensated dating, which increase demand for youth services. “They have different reasons to sell their body not (only just basically want-too many words modifying want, choose one) to satisfy their material desire,” said Tong. Many reasons behind are related to their family matters. Some girls felt that they lacked (of the-omit) love from (possessive pronoun) parents.

In terms of solving the problem, Community Chest has organized some new social services, which are carried out with their partner, such as Mother's Choice. In the future, Community Chest will keep on raising funds and allocate its donation wisely, in order to benefit every needy (word missing-needy=adj).
