Tik Tok being active to cooperate with the music copyright parties to prevent the copyright problems, says a Tik Tok director.

“We hope the users can use the music in Tik Tok to share videos without fear,” said Patton Chen, Tik Tok Planning Director (South China) of ByteDance Ltd. Tik Tok started many cooperation projects to gain more copyright, Tik Tok had signed the cooperation agreement with Apple Music, so users could use the music provided by Apple Music as the background music of the videos, and this did not involve any legal problems, he said.

The users could upload the music by themselves and Tik Tok would audit all the uploaded music, if the music was copyright infringement, the music would be taken off, so users can safely use the music provided by Tik Tok to create short videos, he said, who was speaking at Hong Kong Shue Yan University talk today.

Tik Tok established an Original Musician Project to attract the music creators around the world to upload their works to Tik Tok and provide for the users to use these music, he said.

Many artists and singers started to use Tik Tok as a platform to promote their songs, they would upload the songs with copyright and let the Tik Tok users use the songs, he said. He took Gloria Tang Tsz-Kei, a famous singer as an example, that she posted her songs on Tik Tok to promote her songs.

Tik Tok is an app for people to film a short video and share to others since 2016. People can choose the music they like in Tik Tok and make a short music video by themselves to present their creative, most of the users are teenagers. --165031 2019年4月30日 (二) 19:56 (CST)
