Corporate Communications have to build up good relationship with public day by day

The responsibility of Corporate Communications department is to assist different department in the company to communicate with the general public. Ms. Wong Sau Ying, Head of Corporate Communications of Towngas said.

Communicate with the public and inner of the company, are main tasks for Corporate Communications Department. Even a bill payment for the customers, it is a communication platform for the company. Wong claimed that, there are rooms to improve the communication skill and methods at any time.

Towngas have set up District Council Focus Team to communicate with the residents, to provide the services to the people who need help, the aim is to maintain a good relationship with the general public and the District Councilors before the crisis occur.

If there is any crises occur, a good relationship with them can help the company a lot, for example, in 2006, there was a Wai King building event, as Towngas is close to the District Councilors, they can more easy to ask them give hand to tell the residents about the situation, and to placate them.

However, the District Councilors would not advocate Towngas, as Towngas would not give any benefits to the District Councilors.
