Taiwan’s democratic development for recent two decades have become mature, mild through countless price and continuous practice, said by Ching HUI, the Research Director, Hong Kong Zhi Ming Institute.

“The major factors to achieve democratic in a place is not the election mechanism, but the organization of policy, nurturing talents, self-identity and common value.” said Hui.

In the past, the competition between camp-blue and camp-green every year caused human dead, family tragedy and divorce because the conflict happened in a family with different opinion, said Hui.

After Tsai Ing Wen continue in office, Hui feel pessimistic about the relationship between cross-strait.

For the current problem between cross-strait like mainland prohibit people form 47 districts to travel to Taiwan, Hui said the leader should solve the current economic situation, “If she don’t want to have trade with mainland, she has to find other places to have trade.” said Hui.

“You have the brave to firm your political stance but have not the ability to open up other markets, you are failed.” said Hui.

Ching HUI is one of the active current issue commentators and the vice-chairperson at the Institute of Future Cities, the Chinese University at Hong Kong.
