The Hong Kong TV industry is decaying within latest years; lots of Hong Kong artists are now targeting the mainland market. The vise chairman of PCCW, Ho Laichun said the productions of TV companies in Hong Kong are halfhearted, the standard is decaying. (good opening)

“ Hong Kong TV companies do not invest money to produce the programs, take the variety show in mainland as an example, they would ask artists to do the rehearsal at least one day before, but in Hong Kong, artists only have a few minutes to rehearse or even no time for artists to rehearse,” said Ho.

The mainland programs have improv(ing); the programs such as “SUPER GIRLS”, “HAPPY CAMP” have hit the top rate in China. Senior TV producer Wilson Qian said the mainland programs are now targeting on youths, and they are updating themselves to use (updated-repetitive-use different adjective) information to produce the programs.

“Youth is a big market in mainland China, and their production team will spend lots of time to do the research, find out the background information of an artist, so when the artist comes, the MC can have a deep interview with the artist,” said Wilson.

Furthermore, Wilson said Hong Kong is different from China. Artists in Hong Kong need to film(ing-delete), sing(ing) and go(ing) to functions, they are so busy and do not have time to prepare (for...).

However, famous actor Wong He said artists are showing up before billions of audience when they are acting in mainland programs. “Everything is a calculation; the mainland TV Company can give you 100 thousands for one program, including tickets, rooms and make up(s-non plural). Besides, we are showing up before billion of people, it is worth (preposition) us to do (x-pronoun), (that’s what an artist feeling-meaning of quote a bit ambiguous),” said Wong.

Good use of quotes. The story flows, and does not end too abruptly. Nice job!
