An opponent of Occupy Central said at lecture in Shue Yan University yesterday that he suggests a route to democracy without riots.

"Not like Egypt, Malaysia, Syria, they got democracy because of deaths. Hong Kong shouldn't be like that and we should be the first to get democracy peacefully." Chow stated that "occupy central" is just a method to reach democracy and he is not focus on the method.

"Occupy Central" was initiated by Yiuting Tai, Associate professor of law at the University of Hong Kong, to pursue universal suffrage in Hong Kong.

Chow suspected that there are still four years to 2017 universal suffrage, why people raise campaign now to pursue the election as the government still not yet public the plans on It. He think that it will just cause social unrest.

Chow pointed out that the Chinese government is the "final decider" to appoint the Chief Executive of Hong Kong based on the Basic Laws. He was asked by student that is the the universal suffrage qualified him. He answered that he can't agree or disagree the election is or is not qualified him because the rule that Chinese government make final decision cannot be changed in short time. He reaffirm he is not focus on the method to pursue democracy, the main point he concerned is peace and not affect the others. --115068 2013年9月24日 (二) 18:16 (UTC)
