(It should be political censorship instead of political sensitivity in your lead.wat was a good lead, nonetheless. It should be "mouthpiece", instead of "spokesperson" if you meant CNA is a propaganda apparatus of the Chinese government. You should, at the very beginning, tell your readers that CNA is a Chinese government owned news agency to underscore the rationale of Ms Lo defending the practice of journalism censorship of the government.)

‘Political sensitivity’ in some kinds of reporting occurred in CNA as China’s ‘national conditions are different from other nations’, but China will ‘open up and make progress’, said Candy Lo from CNA yesterday in a local university.

There is saying that Hong Kong China News Agency (CNA) often failed to report news in different angles especially those angle unfavorable to the Central government because it is the spokesperson of the government.

“China’s national conditions are different from other countries,” said Lo, Deputy Chief Editor of CNA. “China will definitely become more and more open up. And we have to give space and time for China to make progress.”

In the meantime, there is ‘political sensitivity’ in some kinds of reporting.

For example, the angle of CNA reporting Liu Xiaobo, a Chinese human rights activist, awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize was ‘different from that of the Hong Kong media’, said Lo, but the news report was still an ‘influential’ one.

“No one can neglect the influence of China to the rest of the world,” said Lo.

On the other hand, news agency is ‘a supplier of news’ to local and foreign media. More than two hundred foreign media subscribed CNA. Therefore, news agencies have to take reporting even more serious and report news in a more in depth way than other media, said Lo.

Lo elaborated with an example. CNA was the first news agency to clarify the fact that news on Jiang Zemin’s, the former president of China, death by Asian Television Limited was fault reporting.
