Also, the period that during the procedure to successfully take the funding was to long.

Comment:

1. AR/VR is better than computer programming as lead. 2. Some details are essential. Eg. what government funding in para. 2 is about.

New version:

The Government was criticised for giving not enough resources for computer programming development although that has become an universal language, said Dio Wong, creative director of 430 Limited, a local technology company.

He said at Shue Yan University's weekly students' assembly on Tuesday although many primary school students learned computer programming in schools, there are not enough resources for such learning for university students. The Government, he said, should lower the requirement for application for funding for programming courses. More resources should be set aside for computer programming learning.

The Government now runs a funding programme for innovation and technology with the funding capped at HK$2 million.

Wong said the the process of application was too complicated. Applicants are required to meet a set of conditions. One of which is that the program should be related to education and commerce. Wong said not all programmes are related to education. Furthermore, the process of application was too long. One case took more than two years for an approval.
