Wong claimed that the biggest hindered for his company of developing AR was the complicated procedures of the Government application. (repetitive) Wong claimed that it was difficult to fulfill all terms of the application, like their company needed to attain two requirements, one was commercial, and the other one was education. However, he said unless they cooperated with the education organization, the funding needed to wait for two years for the Government approval. “ After waiting the approval of the Government’s funding, the projects will be outdated and meaningless.”, he said. Therefore, he hoped the Government could deal with the application with flexibility and simplify the procedures of Government funding application.

He took America as an example, there were some kids studied programming in primary school, and there was a lot of elites on AR development. Wong said, Programing would be a worldwide language, therefore, if the Government could put more resource and funding on AR developing and media design, like add some programming courses in different Institutions, which could foster intelligent and help boost technology development. new version:

The government should simplify the procedures of the application of the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund because the existing process was too complicated for firms to get support from the fund, said Dio Wong, XXXX.

He told a student assembly at SYU on Tuesday his company's experience in applying for the fund. Under the fund, their application needs to have both commercial and education elements.

Unless they cooperate with education bodies, he said it will take more than two years for an approval if they apply on their own.

"By the time an approval is given, the project will become outdated and meaningless... The Government should be more flexible," he said.

Wong urged the government to put more resources on training and education for the development of virtual reality (VR) technology.

He cited the US as an example, where children started learning programming in primary school. "Programming will become a worldwide language."

If the Government puts more resource and funding on AR development and media design such as programming courses in education institutions, it will be a big boost to the grooming of talents and the technological development.
