The most important thing of documentary film is the culture of

draft resolution. However, this culture is not popular around

Hong Kong movie industry. CNEX Foundation Manager, Ada Li

expressed that compared to other developed countries like America,

people who work for Hong Kong movie industry seldom have a concept

of draft resolution.

Ada Li said RTHK in Hong Kong always provides capital to director

independently to film a documentary but other countries, like BBC

or Discovery Channel in England film a documentary by outsource

manufacturing. From her working experience overseas, boss will hire

directors and filming crew after a successful draft resolution of

documentary film. Li thought that this process makes industry of

documentary film vigorous overseas.

Li also said that there are only few people in Hong Kong movie

industry having a concept of draft resolution. Li was disappointed

that compared with China and Tai Wan, the number of draft resolution

of documentary film of Hong Kong is the least in CNEX. She said

although nowadays the demond of draft resolution is declining, it is

still important for filming a documentary. She hoped that students who

are going to work for movie industry can equip themselves and have a

concept of draft resolution.
