(The basic format to write a news story is to start with a lead or intro, and then the details to explain the lead. It is not different from writing a piece of Chinese news. Your story appears as a lump of words all bundled up together with no clear structure and direction which is not good.)

Quote from a journal editor, ” They don’t have time to play English teacher and rewrite poorly written English papers. It is much more efficient to just reject them” Many editors would not pay much time and efforts on revising and editing the papers because they could have other choices. Dr. Steve Wallace, the Founder of Wallace Academic Editing, had pointed out 9 errors, which Hongkongnese academic writers make that cause journal rejection. They were: using passive voice, using nouns instead of verbs, using weak verbs, sentence begins with “it” or “there”, using unclear pronoun references, redundancy words, unclear verb tense, omitting comparisons, wrong subject and verb agreement and conclusion error. To improve, Wallace advised to using active voice when writing research papers because it could allow the readers follow the meaning much more easier. Also, using precise and strong words could delete many redundant words in the paper and it enhanced the readability. Wallace had reminded 2 essential concepts in writing papers: short and clear. If the meaning stayed the same, presenting in a shorter way would be more convenient to explain the idea. On the other hand, as English usually had many shades of meaning, making the words clearly would not cause any confuse of the readers.
