Esme LauPR:PR is an omnipotent role

Esme Lau is the Public Affairs Manager of Power Assets Holdings Ltd. She thinks PR is managing communication in order to build good relationships with the important stakeholders, and also internal and external environment. There are four dimensional functions for PR: managerial, operational, reflective and educational. PR is seen as a spokesman (when face up people). PR must be good at crisis management, deal with accidents and head off a danger.

She said there are also some challenges to PR. If PR want to make money and enhance reputation for the company, they must be in a position to create an interesting story. She suggested us to be a journalist before do PR. Her work experience tells us that PR means a rapid pace of work, they advance with times, always be busy and make friends with different people. If anyone want to be a PR, you must learn set the stage for the work, learn Chinese well, read more, write more, work hard and bear hardships. “I think PR is an omnipotent role.”
