Everyone: You are investing, Beware

HONG KONG, Sep 26, Wed – In Hong Kong, if you work, you are affected by the economic Tim Chan, Executive Chief Editor of Hong Kong Economic Journal.

Experienced journalist Tim Chan exposed his view of economics of Hong Kong to Journalism students of Hong Kong Shue Yan University in a lecture on Tuesday.

No matter what working class are you in, you still should be aware of the economics status. Due to the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme (MPFS) in Hong Kong, which was launched in 2000, almost every worker in Hong Kong is compulsorily investing in the market.

Everyone is putting at least 5% to 10% of their salary into their Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) every month. Therefore, when it comes to economics, everyone should pay close attention because we are all putting money in the market. Tim Chan warned.

The amount of your investment fund would seem very little at the first few years of your work. However, when year goes by, your fund would get bigger and bigger. Therefore, you should monitor your investment strategy carefully to avoid losing money. Tim Chan.

Tim Chan also told us that when choosing what kind of area to invest in, one should carefully look at all the elements that might affect it. There are several reasons that could affect the economics, other countries' debt and different international events are some common reasons that affect the fund's performance.
