Ricky Wong Wai Kay, chairman of the Hong Kong Television(HKTV), said he did not understand why some of the executive council members had decided how big the local TV market is without professional consult. He said the he already had plan in how to strike back in the government’s declaration.

Wong said the executive members do not have right to decide how big the TV market is. There is about 25% of the population who watch TV every day. However in the other cities like New York, Tokyo, there are approximately 50-80% of the population watching TV every day. Wong explained that why only a quarter amount of the population watch TV because the legitimacy of those programme are weak. He did not understand why those executive members did not have any experience in doing business, but they have the right to decide the size of the market. Without the professional financial consultant, those members underestimate the size of the market.

Wong already had plan to strike back the declaration. But he would not release yesterday as he needed more time to prepare his points. Also, he did not want to take over ATV. He made jokes to ATV as if he take over ATV, he would change its name to HKTV. --115081 2013年11月6日 (三) 00:33 (UTC)
