Central News Agency (Hong Kong Bureau) Correspondent Stanley Cheung said Agency will be turned to main role for communication between China and Tai Wan if Kuomintang is going to win victory in Republic of China (Tai Wan) presidential election, 2008.

Central News Agency is a publicly-owned organization, their reporters always controlled by political position on reporting sensitive topic of Mainland China and Tai Wan. Central News Agency often smears Mainland China and blocking negative news of Tai Wan Government.

The Taiwan Strait Crisis in 1996, Stanley Cheung warned by political party in power due to reporting China policy which forward to Tai Wan. Also, he admitted that Central News Agency was too weak in reporting on dereliction of duty by ministers in Tai Wan.

But he trusted in Tai Wan will be more open if Kuomintang get the power in government, Central News Agency can remain neutral reporting to China and to be a Bridge of China and Tai wan for communication.
