An expert in humanoid robot said users should take the responsibility of the usage of the technology instead of the producers.

“For example, people can use car as transportation, but some people can use it to kill,” Mak Hin Yu, Mark, Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Roborn Dynamics Limited said.

As an innovator, Mak said the purpose of producing humanoid robot is to help people solve simple problems, thus the usage of the technology is determined by the users.

Besides, Mark said companies should make use of the geographical advantages of Hong Kong.

“There are plenty of talents in Hong Kong, but the land is limited,” he said.

Mark suggests that Hong Kong can be the basis of R&D companies, which software are produced in local and the hardware can be manufactured in the Great Bay Area.

Moreover, Mark said that Hong Kong has strict intellectual property rights protection, the outcomes and benefits of the R&D companies can be protected.
