The University of Hong Kong, Department of Politics and Public Administration, Adjunct Associate Professor Simon Shen Xu-hui points out that Donald Trump break down these mainstream perceptions as a global leader.

He also mentioned that there have been eventually happening the dissolution of Elitist consensus and global retreat from democracy which significantly influencing the big picture of the whole world.

Predicting the mid-election of the U.S.A President, Professor Simon determined that Trump probably would gain more than 80% of the support among the American people, mainly come from these so-called traditional losers. ‘Trump keeps on fragmenting our mainstream mindset, bringing us into a “new” world.’ He said without hesitation. ‘He was against the development of elitism and re-constructing a world that allowed humiliation to appear in front of the public.’ Trump’s behaviour definitely won the claps of those who suffer from the mainstream’s opinion.

‘When people come out from hegemonism and live under capitalism , they seem to be missing the past days sometimes and try to get rid of democracy. So, is it still worthy for people to fight for? so does Trump question.’ Unsurprisingly, it represented that lots of political and economic-independent countries could not be able to feed their citizens and provide a better life, compared to the old times. This mindset definitely blew lots of people’s thought said by Shen.

With the aid of technology, the governance of a country would be even easier. ‘The whole world swing into a big data trend, especially for these empowered countries.’ Shen spoke that it would be more convenient for powerful group to collect public opinions, highly-flexible to adjust the polices and closer to the residents, since a US president held much more power than we thought.
