(You needed to explain the scandal more than what you told us in your report, especially about the hidden chamber that Leung admitted he later sealed it secretly with bricks in hope of the matter wouldn't be leaked to the public. It was the secret chamber that had caused the public uproar about Leung's integrity. Yes, a small unauthorized building block might be a minor offense, but to conceal it and lie to the public was an issue of one's integrity.)

The scandal of the C.Y. Leung having unauthorized building blocks in his house continues. Executive Council member Fanny Law strongly believes that Leung did not tell lies on this issue.

Fanny Law thinks that CY has already clearly explained the whole incident in his statement last week. His integrity is not affected. Unauthorized building blocks are very common in domestic apartments , Law says. She defends for Leung that having unauthorized building blocks is not a serious guilt, while the society now could not even tolerance towards a small piece of the unauthorized building blocks; therefore, officials are scared that the media discover they have illegal constructions at home someday.

Moreover, Leung is always described by the public as a Communist Party member, Law points out that this is the 'original sin' of him. 'Leung was promising young, thus he is elected to be the Secretary General of the Basic Law Consultative Committee. Yet, this title gave Leung a image of a member of Communist Party,' Law said. She hopes Hong Kong people could trust Leung under the principle of common law of presumption of innocence.
