Hong Kong, Nov. 1 –While there are over five hundred million netizens in Mainland China, many foreign investors fail to enter the Internet market in Mainland.

Samuel Lam, Vice President of AAStocks.com,(who) attended the general assembly of Hong Kong Shue Yan University this afternoon,(said) “since the foreign websites could not adapt the internet environment in China, they failed to enter the Mainland huge market,” said Lam. (this could be your first sentence so you do not repeat yourself)

He said that all China’s popular websites, no matter the categories are created and operated by local companies.

For example, Renrenwan is a substitute for Facebook, Youku for Youtube, and QQ instead of Window Live Messenger.

“The Internet market in Mainland is rather introverted. If a foreign brand wants to enter the market, it may try to cooperate with an open-minded local company,” Lam suggested.

Lam said, he used to work in China, and admit that it is hard to adapt himself to the working environment at the beginning.
