1st December is AIDS day. Chung, Chairman of the Chi Heng Foundation, shares his experience on "Orphans created by the AIDS Epidemic in Central China" for the students of journalism and communication, in a general assembly of Shue Yan College on Tuesday. He mentions that China is becoming another African as the AIDS has been spread in China at a rapid rate in the past few years.

Chung introduces that, “there are three stages to report news about the Orphans created by the AIDS Epidemic in Central China.” the first stage is the exposure of the situation through media channels. Secondly, we jump to the stage of reporting how serious the spread of AIDS in China is. However, there are few reporters try to publish the news positively, give suggestions to solve the problems or encourage the people in the disaster region. “I hope that more reporters can introduce these kinds of story to the public instead of the first or second stage.’ Chung said.

In the other hand, Chung believes that the most suitable and efficiency way to help those orphans is letting them to grow in their mother-land instead of putting them in orphans churches which just like a jail. By doing this, the orphans can enjoy a healthier way to grow up, to study and so they can join the society easier in the future.

To show his eager, Chung shows the Orphans who haves, some of them even studies in universities, have bright futures. Chung added, “I have a main objective of doing this kind of works. I hope the orphans created by the AIDS Epidemic in Central China can join in the society again; forget about his or her sad history. Or even help the others in the same situation so that to make a pleasant world we live together.’
