HONG KONG, 21 Feb- The local television stations are always criticized for the lack of creativity. “I am going to carry out a revolution like Sun Yat-sen,” Ricky Wong, Chairman of CTI, said today.

Hong Kong Media Production Company Limited has been set up recently(open with next sentence, this one is not as strong). Under the leadership of Ricky, the newly set up television station is going to start a battle with the two traditional ones, providing the general public with free entertainment.

For Ricky, it is a revolution. “People seem to work under the monarchy in the large traditional television station (TVB). They do what they are ordered to do. Therefore, (whose?) creativity is killed. Yet, our television station is like a federal state, which gives freedom to the creation and production teams,” he said.

Ricky thinks that it is a must to show respect for those behind-the-scenes staff. “After watching a television program, almost no people can tell the names of those who have contributed a lot behind the scenes,” he deems that it is a kind of discouragement which hinders the production of high quality programs.

Sometimes, Ricky may give suggestions to his staff. Yet, it is not necessary for the staff to adopt his ideas. “I will let my staff decide what they want to work on. If you do not give them the right, no matter how talented they are, it will be a waste of their aptness,” he emphasized the importance of interactive communication with (x) staff.

Very well written, short and to the point, this is a good retelling of the talk. A few reflexive pronouns (his, their) were missing but other than that good job! One last thing, you need to say where this quotes were said. (5ws)
