The famous senior station announcer, Francis Law Wing-kwan stated that the way to pronounce a Chinese word with different meaning properly is to expel the habit of improper pronunciation.

Law has been teaching the proper Chinese pronunciation in various organizations in Hong Kong and Macau for many years. He thought that the improper pronunciation of Cantonese are destroying the culture and Hong Kong people should take the steps to sweep away the habit of improper pronunciation.

He declared that Cantonese is a part of Chinese cultures. “As a Chinese, we Hong Kong people have the duties to respect and prolong the culture. Therefore, it is a must for us to pronounce a word correctly,” said Law.

In order to improve the pronunciation, he suggested the students to listen to the broadcasts of the senior announcer, as their pronunciation are proper, it can help the students to learn a lot from it.
