Low wage payment and insufficient backup resources to script writers are two significant reasons leading to the declined ratings on television programmes, said global media specialist. [This lead implies that the article will discuss two things 1) the low wages, and 2) the insufficient back-up resources.]

Former Managing Director of CBS Broadcast International Asia Inc., Ho Yuet-Fung, thinks that the amount of salary paid to script writers in Hong Kong is far below international standard. Although many script writers take their career with passion, respectable working conditions and freedom of creativity are still in need, expressed Ho. "Unlike Hong Kong, where script writers work on their own, we have a team of people to assist and do researches during the stage of production in the US," Ho added.

[What about the insufficient resources?]

Ho believes that box office record is a good indicator for the quality of a movie, but television ratings can decreasingly reflect the popularity of a programme. "I totally agree that television stations should increase interactivity with audience through the Internet," said Ho. Taking the miniseries When Heaven Burns (天與地)as an example, many people watch the programme on the Internet instead of viewing on television. She believes that the conditions of drama series production have become worse, and television stations should change their attitude towards script development. [The majority of this paragraph, save for the verey last clause, has absolutely nothing to do with your lead statement. At all. It is just fluff. Why is this in here?]

[Your article is well-written, from a technical perspective, but fails to follow through on developing a solid story. You have a fantastic intro, but do not develop it.]
